How We Research, Verify and Correct

Our promise on accuracy: how every guide is sourced, checked, dated and fixed — and how the historical archive is handled honestly.

Our standard

Windows Now publishes practical, accurate help for Windows, macOS and Linux. Every guide is written to answer a real question and to be correct on the day it is published. We would rather say “this varies” than state a confident wrong answer.

Who edits Windows Now

Our modern guides are written and edited by Muhd Radhi Wahab, who reviews each guide against primary sources before it is published. More about the editor.

How we research and verify

  • Primary sources first. Steps, settings paths, commands and requirements are checked against official documentation — Microsoft Learn and Microsoft Support for Windows, Apple Support for macOS, and the official project/distribution docs and manual pages for Linux.
  • We don’t invent specifics. If an exact figure, version number, price or label can’t be confirmed from an authoritative source, we describe it in general terms and say so, rather than guess. Nothing on this site is a fabricated statistic, quote or credential.
  • Version-aware. Software changes. Guides state the platform they were written for (for example Windows 11, macOS Tahoe, or the current Ubuntu LTS) and note where an older version differs.

Freshness and corrections

  • Dated content. Modern guides carry a last-updated date in their structured data, and we revisit them as the underlying software evolves.
  • Found a mistake? Tell us and we’ll fix it. Email the address on our contact page with the URL and what’s wrong. Corrections to factual or safety issues are prioritised.

The historical archive

Alongside the guides, Windows Now restores the original windows-now.com community blog (2003–2010). Archived posts are recovered from public web archives and reproduced faithfully, with the original author and date credited and a visible banner marking them as historical. We never attach a living author’s name to words they did not write, and any original author can ask us to amend or remove their work. Full detail is on the About & restoration page.
