Your Office 2007 Beta Installation Will Expire Soon

I got an e-mail today from the Office beta team reminding me of upcoming beta expirations. Here are the key dates:

Beta 2: February 2, 2007
Beta 2 TR: March 31, 2007
Server Beta 2 TR: May 15, 2007

Your options are: attend a launch event and get a free copy, download the 60-day trial, or download the Office 2003 Compatibility Pack. But you'd better do one of those soon.

    Since it's getting expired, it's time to install Beta2 (with no Refresh update) and open some .docx and .xlsx to convert to newer RTM format. I'm having problems opening some .docx with Office 2007 RTM.

    A bit lousy, when you think about it, couldn't they just give it to you on the condition that you'll get no support whatsoever and a few other things like if it crashes, they won't accept responsibility of the office system. As for me, I would use any Microsoft office products, its slow, it's buggy, it's bloated, it's too fancy, it's harder to use and doesn't make me any more productive anyway oh and it's too expensive as well, sorry to say that but that's my opinion.
