Robert McLaws: Windows Edition

Blogging about Windows since before Vista became a bad word

My Own Personal 'Day of Silence'

There's no point in being on the Internet today. The mass orgasm that is the iPhone will be taking up all of the airwaves. So instead of trying to be heard over the moaning, I'm taking the opportunity for a three-day working weekend, sans blogging. Gonna go see "Live Free or Die Hard" with my girlfriend and her dad, work on client projects, and start the process of cleaning up my credit. Yes, you read right... I'd rather deal with the credit bureaus than read one more #$%& thing about the iPhone.

Yippie ki-yay motherf#$%#@s! See you Monday.

  • I can't wait until Die Hard 4 comes here!

Wish you have a good weekend :-)

As a mac fan I gotta say something, but i'll keep it as non zeolot as possible.

After reading lots of the replies on this site, ive come accross something a few times.  There was one post that robert made about... windows home server?? and mentioned that he was going to try installing linux for a side project.

Someone then replied and said something like... gosh darn it... those mac and linux goofs just can't admit when ms comes up with a good product... shame on those goofy close minded people.... then her last statement was "oh robert don't try linux, cause we wouldn't want you to go join them" or something like that.

    Same thing applies here...

Could it be... just maybe... possibly that the iphone just might be a good product?  What if... it was actually a really good phone?

If you want mac guys to say... Hey good on microsoft for finally putting in the top notch security into vista it deserves, you guys might have to say, hey... that iphone might be kinda cool after all.

Ok rant over, and stepping off the soap box

    Have a great weekend.

Gosh I feel so bad for you. Let me give you a little hint: <pssst - over here> If you don't want to read any more articles about the iPhone <looks one way then the other> are you ready? Don't click the link. There's always someone who has to be the frikkin' spoil sport. Of course I can understand your bitterness: your Windows Vista is a bloated piece of shite.  LOL

Yay, someone else that doesn't like the iPhone news as well!  I won't abandon the internet, but I'll stay away from some of my technology RSS feeds.

My friend and I like to joke that Apple Inc., and any product made by them, is a swear word.  iPh**e.  :P

Why is the defense to not wanting to read about the iPhone is: vista is a bloated piece of shite? And why are you posting this on a website with windows-now in the URL when the blogger simply said he is tired of reading about the iPhone? If you actually visit websites like Engaget or Gizmodo it's not as easy as not clicking the link, more then half their content the last few days has been about the iPhone. Personally I am perfectly happy with my windows phone it does everything I want and I could care less about all the iPhone news. I am however happy to see competition and since I use AT&T, hopefully the iPhone will help them. I do wish the iPhone was 3G since my windows phone is so they would boost that instead of slow edge.

Hope the movie is good and you have a good weekend, I enjoy reading your blog.

Robert, I applaud your sentiment ... Because between the iPhone and (the also insanely over-hyped) Paris Hilton fiasco it does indeed seem a good day to hide under the bed (safely away from "the media"), or perhapps have a root canal, or tax audit might be fun about now.

  • BTW, Live Free or Die Hard was WAY more bada$$ then I thought it was going to be. I'd definitely recommend it.

Throzz, Robert has a girlfriend. He mentions her on the blog, usually. What about you? Is your boy friend standing in a line to buy a freaking iphone?
