Today we were taking a tour of the Microsoft Partner Tent Pavillion, when Nick White told us we should stick around. Twenty minutes later, we found out why. As we're standing around, Bill Gates walks up wih his entourage. I thought he was just going to say "hi" and walk up stairs. But he stuck around for a couple minutes and chatted with us. He revealed that Vista is NOT Microsoft's last OS hurrah, and that there would be another major release in the next 2-4 years.
But the highlight for me was geting to shake his hand. Laugh all you want, but his right hand is worth like $3B. I've been wanting to meet him since I was 6 years old. So I was pretty excited.
Since I didn't think anyone ould believe me, I was able to sneak in a picture (we weren't supposed to, but Bill's looking right at me, so I'm pretty sure he saw).
Sorry for the blurriness... my dumb camera focused in the foreground and not further back.
I get to meet another exec tomorrow... more details tomorrow night.
